Have you ever suffered from drug addiction? How did you get out/how are you coping with it?

I skimmed over some statistics and the results are quite mixed. Portugal did not decriminalize hard drugs, merely reduced sentences for small possessions (self consumption), not dealing of drugs. HIV infection rates in Portugal are still 5x times above EU-average 16 years after the new laws.
