This would be very nice and all, if it wasn't very wrong and very ignorant:
Most addicts were not weak, and their addiction is not even the outcome of their own responsibility/action. A very good number of opioid addicts were prescribed opioids for post-surgery rehabilitation. This could have been your father, your sister, you.
Ignorance is not an excuse for stupidity.
