Taking any blame away from the person who actually acts violent is a mistake in my mind. People are personally responsible for their actions. "Mainstream corporate media" is not their parent nor is it responsible for people's actions. I have a hard time believing a member of antifa was listening to the "mainstream corporate media" anyway. They are mostly borderline tankies for christ sake, obvously they aren't fans of the "mainstream corporate media" either. And I say this as somebody who is not a huge fan of the "mainstream corporate media" myself.

I don't think he's saying take the blame off them. However, it's obvious that they were affected by some sort of agenda. Whether if it's Fox News, a popular Youtuber, or some idiot who posts conspiracy videos with 5 views per video, the rise of 'truth-seekers' is increasing at a dangerous rate. When you have two large groups believing the other side is evil, things will turn ugly very quickly

@Bolded Yes, but this agenda did not originate in the mainstream media. The modern Antifa has existed since the 80's and has precedent in the 20's and 30's in real fascist countries.

It just has been imported to the U.S more recently as a reaction to the rise of the alt-right. Both movements are mostly internet-raised phenomenon, and have very little to do with the mainstream media other than they both hate it. Nevertheless, people are responsible for their actions and all accountability and anger should be directed towards them, otherwise the issue becomes one of vengeance against group X or group Y.
