So I was just talking with this guy from Malaysia who randomly added me a few months back on the psn.  He apparently saw that I liked Jrpgs and thought he would just add me lol. Usually I wouldn't accept random psn friend requests but in the request he said he had just been gifted a ps4 and wanted some friends. I felt kind of sorry for him so I accepted his request :P

We then started chatting every now and then, just small talk. I would ask him if he's getting "this game and that game" he would say "noo too expensive, it would cost me a weeks pay".  I then looked at his trophy list and noticed he was only playing F2P games aside from Final Fantasy XV, which was his only purchased game (also a gift). I asked him if he was getting the season pass, he said "one day, but I'm saving up for Persona 5 atm". I started to feel sorry for him, I go out and buy what ever I want, never usually think twice about it. I decided without telling him I'd purchase some Malaysian psn credit and send it to him, when I told him he was in shock that I would do such a thing, he kept refusing saying he couldn't accept my money. After some long discussions he finally accepted it.

He would tell me about how hard it is to live in Malaysia, and how the government is screwing over the people. His English was very bad, but I understood him enough to know that life for him is very difficult compared to me.

Though to me it wasn't alot of money for me, to him it was, and I was glad I made his day.

Has anyone else done something similar?
