The way i do
I only buy games that i know will retain their value
Example:
Conker Bad Fur Day $50 dollars back then
Today $150 Dollars
It is all about investment
Games like Uncharted 4 for example,,, i know that the $60 launch price will be only $15 $20 in a year.
So what i do i wainting.
The good thing about Nintendo games is that 90 % of their games trend to go up in price after a few years. With sales of BOTW on wii u stoping at 1 million,, that version i 5 years will reach $100 dlls
