I'm usually not one for grand pronouncements, but I really think this could go down as Nintendo's greatest system.

On the hardware front, it's incredibly snappy and versatile, playable on TV, on the go, and via LAN. Plus, local multiplayer is literally built into the system.

On the software front, it's already hosted two of the best games I've ever played, including the very best I've ever played. And with lot of indies, Japanese A and AA games, and Nintendo support (consolidated for the first time in a long time) on the way, the library should be extraordinary. It's basically a 3DS, WiiU, and Vita (minus Sony first-party) combined.

I have the highest of hopes for Switch.
