As the opposite end of the spectrum, it is interesting to read this.
To prepare, just lead up to it. Maybe you will find your sexuality, maybe you won't. But obviously trying will help you find out. There are lots of different strategies as well, so you might have to keep at it for awhile.
As for condoms, I recommend trying it out before. And if they don't fit then you will need to find the right size. A bad condom will also destroy sex drive.
Also it is nice that both of you are virgins, so both of you can experiment together :).
