So like Nintendos Treehouse thing? That's awesome.

Since the Nintendos Treehouse success. I was pretty sure it wouldn't take long for Sony to do the same.

Nintendo invented E3

Did Sony have this many hours of coverage at last year's E3? Refresh my memory.

Theyve been doing this since like E3 2013 and they stream arround 4 days for hours on hours, the 18 hours of content they are anouncing this year is just arround on par or maybe even way lower than what they have done before, since they stream for 4 days and each day for over 5 hours.

In fact i managed to find the proof:

Here is the video of their E3 2013 coverage sadly they seem to have cut the whole livestream of each day into videos for each game covered, however you can see in the title its called E3 coverage DAY 1.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQe1DdLrUlk

Here is the full coverage of DAY 1 for E3 2014 (6 hours of content of just one day, and its for 4 days)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mb05ovHWD44

Here is the full coverage of DAY 1 for E3 2015 (again over 6 hours of content)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQeLT4XwdhU

And finally the full coverage of DAY 1 for E3 2016 (5 hours and a half)

People saying they are copying Nintendo dont even know what they are talking about.

EDIT:

Actually i just found out theyve been doing this since 2012 (so even before Treehouse), sadly just like with 2013 they cut the whole livestream of each day for a video of each game presented, however you can see on each video the DAY 1 coverage just like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWFLhQACK3I

or you can go on this link and see all the videos of DAY 1 coverage of 2012 https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=playstation+e3+day+1+2012

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQeLT4XwdhU

It's crazy they translated 6 hours of footage of their E3 coverage to Spanish

This is why the Playstation brand is so popular worldwide, Sony puts serious effort in localization.
