| RolStoppable said: I've reached act 3 now. It's getting tedious. The battles are as frequent as ever, but the EXP gains are hitting rock bottom. A couple of EXP for hitting something, less than ten for killing something. Level ups commonly resulting in only one or two stat gains makes it all the more dreadful. Echoes is on track to be the worst Fire Emblem released in the West. I don't like the weapon system, I don't like the skill system, I don't like the class system, I don't like the money system. The cool thing about Fire Emblem has always been that things move forward fast, but Echoes slows down to a crawl. This could get so bad that I will have to force myself to finish the game. |
That's disappointing. I knew it would be grind-heavy, but that sounds pretty tedious. Hopefully I can tolerate it...I've survived some pretty grindy games before.
How is the story? Is it decently compelling? I've been expecting it to be on par with Shadow Dragon, the other NES remake, so anything better will impress me.
