This is because there are people who literally don't care about how they are presented to the world. They relate Walmart to the low-end low-class of the country and have no value for their opinions (while ignoring that they are also of that same class). They instead go to Walmart as they would if they were being lazy in their own home.
Its pathetic and something I also do to some degree. I rarely go to Walmart at all, but if I need some random thing that can't wait a couple days for Amazon or a Costco trip, I'll go in flip flops, crappy shorts and a t-shirt to Walmart. I know there is trash at Walmart and I have no reason to get dressed to go there.
