Because wearing a suit and tie doesn't make you smarter, despite what people dressing up for work like to tell themselves. Suiting up for work is really just an attempt to manipulate people into thinking they're smart or wealthy, albeit often a successful one.

Tech culture developed a strong anti-suit mentality. Look at Jobs, Gates, Zuckerberg, etc. There's a saying, "never trust anyone wearing a tie", it originates from businessmen knowing essentially nothing but pretending they know more than everyone else because "selling", trickery, and manipulating people was how they earned a living. Their whole existence is to profit off the work or ignorance of others. Faking it until you make it may work on Wall Street or in Advertising but doesn't work when the product isn't just a personality, brand name, or snake oil but requires actual superior functionality/features. Wearing a suit doesn't increase your IQ.
