How important will japan developers be for sony's E3?

I think Beckers role was mostly to get SCEJ software development into a linear wheel, since SCEJ had been known to be a workplace whereby anyone with an idea could just start working on it. It was becoming too cluttered.  Also worth mentioning that there was TLG that had to be seen through. 

I think we will start seeing SCEJ coming into something bigger now but I really dont think that the SCEJ you are looking for will be this gen, maybe end of this gen. Really depends what comes post GTS, HSG and K2. 

yeah, maybe i have to wait a little longer for that project;)
