They dropped Wii U support around 2015, 3DS support not long after that (as pointed out by another user). How can't i question their ability to correct this specific past failure? When i don't see clear signs of that mistake being corrected i January, i'm a little skeptical. I thought "too soon? E3 will be the place". But what i get is that their focus for the Spotlight is still 2017 when didn't have to. They could have very well not said that - and let us thinking - or even said "focus on games coming 2017 and 2018".The focus on 2017 games didn't need to be ALSO on the video, but for some reason it is.Of course i believe they will show 2018 games, but i think that, at this point, this shouldn't be the case (it really didn't need to be) - where they even in the video focus on 2017 games. So, what's exactly problem!? Those 5 originaly games with combination of 2 Wii U ports make 1st 9 months of Switch are stronger in terms of in-house games than any previous Nintendo console, just Zelda BotW blows away complete full 1st year Wii U's lineup, dont even try to compare that with PS4 or XB1.
You can question whatever you want, but its obvious that they correct majority of past mistakes, especially in terms of games. I several times explained to you why they said "focus on 2017. games" and you have very clear example of last ND. Again, "focus on 2017. games" doesn't mean they will not show 2018. games at E3, they will definatly show some 2018. games. Again, They could not said focus on ARMS and Splatoon for last ND, but they did, and they did focus on those games but in same time they show tons of other games, and now for E3 they saying "focus on 2017. games"and they will focus on them (from obvious and reasons that totaly make sense), but they will also show 2018. games.
I dont see how point that two months after Switch launch and one month before E3 didn't show 2018. games (but they did annuced FireEmblem) has anything with Wii U!? With Wii U situation was totally reverse, because terrible sales they panicked and basically announced almost all games they had in development only two months after launch, some of those games we saw couple of years after that announcement. With Switch it's obvious they have great and effective plan, they don't need to announce all games they have in development they just need to continue good and very positive momentum. Offcourse they have 2018. games and offcourse they will show some of them in one month at E3.

That can only mean they must have plenty of Switch content, enough to fill what is normally filled by two separate systems. Also, I doubt something as major as a new Pokemon announcement would be done through the Treehouse, so that provides further confidence that this year's Pokemon game will be on Switch. |
Yup, because all this "focus on 2017. games" we somehow missed that they will show 3DS games just trough TreeHouse. It seems they will have lotsa Switch content for presentation.
