You dont know that, focus means just that. Last Direct had a focus on Splatoon 2 and Arms, but we had plenty of things alongside Splatoon 2 and ARMS, but obviously they have biggest focus.

Your other part of post is clear assumption based on nothing, for instance we recently had official statement that over 20 UE4 games are in development for Switch in Japan only.

They said focus on games releasing this year when they could have said focus on games coming out this year and games to come in 2018.
And that makes all the difference.

You can say that part of my reasoning is based on a rumor, but it barely changes what i'm trying to say.

I know about those 20 games, but then again, if they are coming in 2018, and Nintendo has also a lot for 2018, why make a presentation that focus in 2017?
As i said, it's more like E3 2015 when they barely announced games for wii u because they just didn't have them. And that is what i fear: a repitition of that situation.

Nintendo several times talk about point that they dont want to talk about games and to focus on game that are far away from release, thats why for quite time Nintendo is focused on games only that are relesed in near future (3-6 monts). And like I wrote, for Last Direct Nintendo said that it will have focus on Splatoon 2 and ARMS, but we actually saw plenty of games in that Direct alongside Splatoon 2 and ARMS even they biggest focuse. And that actually has sense, you will definitely not focus on game that is 1-2 year from release but actualy on games that are 3-6 months from release.

E3 2015. was totally different situation, because they didn't had what to show for Wii U and then became obvious that Nintendo start focusing on NX and they start dropping Wii U support. Also they will keep announce new games through Nintendo Directs also.
