I really can't see Sony bothering with another portable. The WiiU did bad enough for Nintendo to effectively leave the traditional home console race (at least for now), and the Vita likley did even worse for Sony as far as overall profits go. Sony just don't have the IP necessary to compete with Nintendo and smartphones in the portable space.
