It's going to be tougher this year.
If Nintendo shows a lot of games (especially big third party ones coming to the Switch and some new good exclusives) they could easely win this E3. But they really need a strong showing to keep the interest flowing high as it does right now
Microsoft needs to showcase more than just the power of Scorpio, they need good exclusives. And not just new Halo, gears or Forza, they desperately need new IPs in different genres. If they can bring this and Scorpio not being too expensive, this E3 could become a big win for them. But they really need to deliver all this lest they could get squashed between a rock and a hard place, ie Playstation and Switch.
Sony needs games, games, games. Interesting and curious games, games with mass appeal and more niche games all alike. That's basically what they do each year, but they need to up the ante with the Switch barging in like it did on the console market. And not dabble too much into VR, lest it steals too much screentime for the other games.
Never watched the publisher's showings, so i'll exclude them from this analysis
