The formula for the past two generations has been: SMT on Nintendo platforms (DS, 3DS, and Wii U all have SMT in some form) with the Persona games on Sony platforms (PS3, PSP, Vita, and PS4).

What was the formula for FFI - FFVI? :3

Things change, and with Switch taking over Japan (and at least very respectable sales in the west), Atlus' good relationship with Nintendo I think it's quite probable.
