If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're tossing in talk of emulation, but also containing the whole piracy one as well.
For what it's worth, emulation for the latest isn't always going to be smooth sailing, not for everything and it's not going to be as cheap as chips either, but the progress is getting there.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
