lots of VPNs have been banned/blocked aswell in turkey, there still are a few functioning ones though

I actually believe John Oliver's episode about Putin is disgusting, especially that it was written and published at a time in which Erdogan is disgustingly and proudly guilty of what he's accussing Putin of, and so much worse.

Putin has been ahead of Erdogan quite some time, Erdogan is still playing catch up in becoming totalitarian leader

It doesn't matter if he catches up, John Oliver won't hunt him down.

... unless Erdogan's ambitions get in the way of course.
