No, is not. Maybe for you. But there is now 2 games in a road to sell 1M each. So you are wrong anyway

Super Monkey Ball was a pretty damn good game and deserved 1m+ sales.  It was good for them to do it at launch though because there were only a few other must haves on the GC launch like Rogue Squadron 2 and Luigi's Mansion.  I think it would have probably sold less if it didn't go with launch.  Super Monkey Ball 2 did a little better in sales but barely and the appex of Monkey sales came with the Wii version (5x the userbase) but only went up by .7 million in sales though.  Rouge Squadron 3 on GC did much worse than 2.

Bassically I'm saying sometimes its good to have a decent or good game out at launch because there isn't much around at the time.  Not taking anything away from Bomberman.  I'm sure it's a decent game but it wouldn't have sold as fast if it didn't release during launch.
