Proper information flow to the US population is so clamped down that they're perpetually always the last people to hear things that relate to their own country.

Not the entire. We've been fighting a lot for the transparency of our government.
There are forces that don't want every news piece to overflow to us, however.

It's scary thinking of the classified information that we'll never see, I wonder what shady actions and plans are detailed in there.
