If Sony bothered to include CD-Rom support in the Playstation 4 like the Xbox One, it could have been able to run Playstation 1 games natively. Just like the Playstation 2 and 3.
I don't think a Playstation 1 classic would hit it off as well though, plus it should end up a little more expensive than the NES classic as the games are orders-of-magnitude larger, requiring more NAND.
With that, if they included Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 9... I would be all over that like flies to poop.
