Pretty sure we had this come up relatively recently. Sony makes bank off PSN, despite the volume of people announcing their displeasure (and often their recent / imminent dropping of the service) over PS+ titles.
It will be interesting to see how Nintendo's online works out, both in quantity of subs and quality of connection.
