For them to achieve what you are proposing today or by next year, it will cost well over $300 (I cannot see anything under $700 with that level of hardware) and come in a much heftier form factor.You will most likely be waiting 5-8 years for a system like that.

I can, however, see Sony entering the market with a more recent Tegra chip or a custom AMD APU (albeit none that will come much closer to the PS4 Slim than the Switch did).But devs will be required to port their games over, so it will not play PS4 games out of the box (PS Vita, PSP, perhaps even PS3 through emulation should be possible though).
