Are those your views? If they are it means you don't understand politics, like liberals and dems. They believe what they are told to be it through friends or are deceived by liberal news over time. Everything Trump has "failed" on - everything is because of dems following a strategy of obstruction becauee they have nothing to give positively, and the rest is the spineless republican establishment who are afraid of conflict.
I'm a true conservative / libertarian, and as a result my core view isn't tainted by a few moronif liberals. |
If you're going to insult people, at least bother to spell said insult correctly.
It's worth noting that most of what Trump claimed he would accomplish were pomises. Not conditionals, promises. He portrayed himself as a master of negotiation; someone who, using his past experience in the business world, could convince both sides to see things from his point of view. So even if you make the "obstruction" argument, Trump still fails because he campaigned on him being able to negotiate through any obstructionism.
However, even if we ignore that boast, Trump is still largely a failure because so many of his ideas failed to appeal to even his own party. Call the Republican base "spineless" all you want, if you can't create a plan that appeals to your own party, there is no way it is ever going to get passed. That's entirely on him, and the ridiculous secret healthcare committee that hid behind closed doors and refused to disclose the details of the AHA for weeks. You have to actually, you know, work with people to get legislation passed through Congress. If you're blocking out members of your own party from viewing your work, chances are you have done something horribly wrong.
Finally, though, even under the most generous of terms, it's next to impossible to blame Congress for Trump not living up to his own promises. Even if Congress had signed every single bill Trump supported, 25 million jobs wouldn't have been created in the first 100 days (which, to be perfectly clear, would be nearly impossible in this economy). Trump has yet to propose any amendment on congressional term limits, another action which he claimed he would take within 100 days. No apparent effort has been made towards rolling out the $1 trillion infrastructure plan, nor has any action been taken to his promise to significantly reduce crime. All of these are things that Trump would either have to do independently or at least get the ball rolling by introducing a plan to accomplish them, and there has been little to no progress on any.
I absolutely despise Hillary Clinton, and I'm not convinced she would have been a better option (especially with her promise to establish a no fly zone in Syria). But you have to do some mental gymnastics on par with Flat Earth supporters to believe that Trump's failings are entirely due to his opponents or his own party.
