This. It doesn't seem like something you'd actually need to come out and confirm... but hey at least it adds diversity so certain groups can't argue that they're being left out, even though it's at the cost of historical accuracy, lol.

Sure women never fought in the front lines during the World War 2. 

Can't place an African'African American there too because it upsets certain groups that want to protect the white washed history.
