Yeah they must be super happy with the constant river of hot shit they were delivering for years after they were third party, Sega still does nice things but is not even a fraction of what it used to do. 

No major video game hardware developer has been better off from a software and quality standpoint since going 3rd party.  I mean, look at Sega.  When they were still a hardware developer they were forced to consistently develop games with variety and unique experiences in order to diversify their software libraries.  Now, for the most part, they just churn out mediocre Sanic games and call it a day.
