If they REALLY want to do this (I really just want them to move on to Smash 5), then just bring it over with all DLC and maybe Ice Climbers and graphical enhancements, launch it at $50

Focus on Smash 5 for most of your efforts and yes, they NEED a Smash 5. Just like they NEED a Mario Kart 9. Save the new characters for that. Nintendo is in no position to put one of its most hyped franchises on ice for a whole gen.

I really feel like Mario Kart and Smash Bros are the two Nintendo games that DON'T NEED a new game this gen and should just be deluxe versions with added content. They have already pretty much mastered both series, the only real big thing that would stand out now would be a huge leap in graphics and that isn't gonna happen on the Switch. In fact I don't think a huge leap in graphics would be all that interesting since neither games have realistic art styles so the graphics are already good enough to make better graphics kinda unnecessary.

Sure they should eventually have an MK9 and SSB5, but I think a deluxe port of the Wii U games is perfectly fine for the next few years and likely the gen, unless they come up with some whole new spin on these two series. I'd rather Nintendo come up with a new smash up of characters to be a third piece of their character smash up games to go along with mario kart and smash bros. Don't know what that would be, but a new series would be a welcome addition rather than trying improve every gen on two series that have already reached near perfection. We have a racing smash up and a fighting smash up...what else could we have? hmm... I can't think of anything off the top of my head, but at the very least they should focus those resources on other IPs like Metroid or F-zero
