Saudi Arabia was elected to the U.N. Women’s Right Commission, and 5 EU countries voted in favor

Does the U.N. Women's Right Commission even do anything, or is it just a ceremonial way to make it seem like they're trying to progress women's issues? I haven't really read about it.
