What "chatter" would there be about the Pro? It's launched, the only "chatter" left is talking about how various games support it. And maybe there'd be more chatter if there was a more unified, standardized approach to how the Pro afffects games or how they support it. Seems the only "chatter" you get nowadays is why isn't this game native 4k or why doesn't this game offer super sampling or why does this game run worse on Pro. Of course when the Scorpio launches the "chatter" will die down.
Also since when do PC gamers care less about games than console gamers? I would hope console gamers care less about parts and upgrades and maximum performance, considering they literally have no option to partake in that on their consoles. So some PC enthusiasts do, that's awesome. Just like, as you say, some console gamers care about power. But even tiny differences are being blown up this gen. Just look back at the launch of PS4 and Xbone. 1080p or bust? 900p might as well not even bother? But now the narrative changes with Scorpio being the most powerful console ever. Now games are most important and power only matters to an extremely small niche on console.
It will still be about the games. But now they'll all look and play better on a different console barring bad development. Why wouldn't people talk about that? Again, look at the launch of this gen.
