People who are suicidal do not need jesus. They need to talk to someone they can trust about how they feel, seek help from a mental health professional, and look into medications. That's really the only advice anyone should be giving out regarding suicide, unless they have some kind of actual expertise.

When it comes to life and death, any positive option should not be discounted. Jesus can certainly be the catalyst in opening opportunities for healing.

If there was actually proof this was a positive option (please don't spit bible verses or platitudes at me) then I'd agree.  But, since there isn't, we should focus on treatments that have a track record of success.

Indeed, this is what they need to do first and foremost.

However, I do believe that religion can be a help for some people. It's just like when people are mourning, they can find help in God and Jezus.
(I'm not saying that they need religion. Non-religious people can deal with these things just as well. I'm just saying that seeking help in religion is not necessarily a bad thing.)

There is a big difference between saying something like "look into the benefits of religion" or "if you are religious talk to your rabbi, imam, priest etc", and saying "why not give your life to Jesus".

The former is presenting religion as an option.  The other is trying to (poorly) sell your religion to incredibly vulnerable people.  It's kind of predatory.

Jesus is one of many paths to a brighter day. Don't turn this thread into a YouTube comment section.

Oh.  I'm sorry for saying something negative about Jesus in response to a video promoting Jesus.  How terrible of me.
