See my response to superchunk for appropriate GIF. Call of Duty is developed by three different studios who each get three years time to finish a game. The decision to make another World War II game was made long before Infinite Warfare was revealed. It's also an Activision IP. |
I know how the development of COD works and I know that they have three different studios working on three different CODS at the same time.
But my point is, since the backlash that IW got(which was E3 last year), they would have gotten about one year and a half to develop this game. Now before you go and say "you cant make a game in 3 years", I think(and I will agree this is just theory), that one of the developers making a COD was already making a more present based, or slightly in the past COD game, but then all the assets and the coding thus then made, was repurposed to fit the WW II era, since I guess back then it would still possible, since the game was nowhere close to finished.
And I mean, we all know how shitty of a company EA is, and how they squeeze every last of will to live from their employees, so could have evry well worked extra hard(extra hours and stuff) to get this done in time.So Im not saying I am right, but I think its possible.
Edit: Ugh yeah, its from Activision.God, dont know why I got them mixed up.Anyway, Activision is not so far from EA anyway, so the examples still work.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
