What's the point of scorpio beeing powerful when its games are available on the pc which can be even more powerful and can have stuff that is on ps4 and pc only. I don't even know what the point of the xbox is anymore.

People usually use the "cost" argument of buying a console over a PC. Plus the "Convenience" angle. And we cannot forget controllers either.

What do you miss out if an Xbox game is on PC? Buy the game for the platform you wish to play on. Who gives a crap if it's exclusive, I hate exclusivity it limits where I can game.

Price is important. The GPU seems to be very impressive, but wasn't the CPU a bit less than expected? I haven't completely stayed current with console power epeen fights.

The CPU was exactly what was expected. People just ignored those who had an educated take on the topic and started to beat the Zen/Ryzen drum.

A pc CAN be more powerful, but you'd likely spend more money on a more powerful PC than the console by far. so that's the point, it's always been the point o consoles in general, achieving the most power without breaking the bank to do so.

We don't know Scorpio's price yet. So don't start beating the price drum just yet. ;)

So, Scorpio has the same CPU as PS4, clocked slightly higher. GPU with 40 GCN cores as oppose to PS4 pro's 36, also clocked higher. 12GB gddr5 vs PS4 pro's 8GB gddr5 +1GB ddr3, also admitteadly faster. Scorpio is definitely superior but it's not groundbreaking difference. We still don't know the price and there is not a lot worthy exclusives on Xbox platform. I think Sony is not loosing sleep over this.

No. The CPU has been customized lightly. It's not the same as the PS4 with a slightly higher clock.

The 40 GCN "cores" are more powerful per core than the PS4 Pro's.

The GPU and CPU has certainly deviated from the off-the-shelf parts and we will need to see some games to truly see how much of a difference Scorpio provides.

"The CPU has been customized lightly." - Maybe so, but what exactly were those modifications.

"The 40 GCN "cores" are more powerful per core than the PS4 Pro's." - I dissagree. Scorpio has 11% more GCN cores, clocked 28.5% higher. That's 1.11x1.285x4.2tflop(PS4pro)=5.99tflop(Scorpio). This gives exactly the same performance per core per Mhz in both cosoles.
