The thread title is odd. Feminists can also be gamers. The problem is when activists (of any stripe, really) get involved in the development, professional critique, or act as the driving force behind public outcry demanding change of what is supposed to be fun and/or art. Being preached to isn't fun; stories where characters & plot contrivances are crafted to support an ideology feel artificial, and stealthy procelytizng just pisses people off.
