You don't have to be a crazy drunk, only spending your money on alcohol you know. I drink but only when I'm out with friends (sometimes) and special occations. 

My consumption is probably about 2 pints of larger a month, if that sometimes.

 

On topic, lagers (pilsners) or berry cider, the latter as it basically taste like lemonade and ribeena and the former because i don't like the taste of traditional ales. Oranjeboom brewed by Shepherd Neame is my favourite but can't find that up here in the north.
