Why do people just assume SB was cancelled out of spite?  Like MS doesn't want to release a new IP for the heck of it?  Has it ever crossed your mind that maybe it wasn't coming along as good as promised?

They may have done gaming a favour by cancelling it.

You never do the medium any favours by killing ideas before they can hit the market for everyone to learn from. Good or Bad. Look at Nier. The first one was railed by critics and is exactly the kind of game that Microsoft would have cancelled before even marketing.

Microsoft is TERRIFIED of risk. This is what seperates them from Sony and Nintendo. That aversion for risk is what we all identify as milking. It's Killed Halo, it's killing COD and it has pretty much neutered Gears of War.

They don't understand the essence of gaming. They dont deserve to be in the medium in the first place, if this is the stance they take. When they had something to prove MS was a force. Such a force that people wondered if Sony could even mount a comeback for the next gen (But they did it with the PS3 slim) Microsoft approached Gen 7 with a chip on their shoulder. Achievements, A strong focus on Online Gameplay and community. Microsoft 2005-2010 is not Microsoft 2013- Present.

They Suck.

Fuck MS.

"Microsoft doesn't take risks" So let's ignore Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Ori and the Blind Forest, Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3.

"It's killed Halo" Yeah racking in $400 million in about a week is a sign of a dying franchise which sold 5 million in 3 months.

"It's killed COD" Infinite Warfare still sold well outselling almost all games released in 2016.

"Neutered Gears of War" What the hell does that even mean?

Oh by the way with Forza Horizon 3 confirmed to sell 2.5 million by the end of 2016 and vgchartz has it at below 2 million I won't be surprised that Halo 5 and Gears 4 are undertracked as well.
