Microsoft is taking the right steps to aggressively standardize on new specs for the benefit of the gamers in the future ...
Hopefully it means that display manufacturers will adopt HDMI 2.1 quicker so that games don't have to worry about tearing or bad frame times due to locked refresh rates ...
It would also be great if display manufacturers can increase the variable refresh rate range to a minimum of 20FPS since it's weaker hardware that benefits the most from adaptive sync and not high refresh rate users ...
