You guys realize you are celebrating games not having to stick to an evenly delivered 30fps or 60fps anymore right?
Less incentive for developers to get that fps stable and let them simply deliver frames whenever :)

It's great if we can get games running at 40-45 fps. Would suck if we get games that stick to an average 25 fps with frames arriving at different paces.

I wonder if it could have some new gameplay potential. A frame rate gun or matching frame rate in a puzzler to reveal clues, simulating the cartoon effect on rotating objects for example.
