Please try to think like a dictator and not a rational person. Those things are mutually exclusive.

The North Korean leadership are not stupid. There's a reason they've been able to last this long, despite the collapse of the Soviet Union, extreme famines and immense poverty: they know when to get entangled and how to not cross the line.

Or maybe because they never really were in an actual position to entangle themselves and are only now growing more powerful to actually do something. I perceive the leadership to be very reactive and it seems so far the provocation wasn't enough to react all too violently. Provoke them enough now and you'll get the button.



If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
