Honestly why is Activision even holding him at this point. They don't DO anything with him. They aren't making money off him. He's not a selling point unless he were to go back to ND or at least a Sony dev house. It's a win win for him to go back as I'm sure Sony would compensate them more than they'll make from a new release to get him back. |
With this remaster though, that may no longer be true. Either way though, it's a lose-lose for us from here on out. If this remaster does well, it'll inspire Activision to do more with the franchise and disuade them from selling it. While if it does poorly, Sony will see it as a sign that the franchise is dead and disuade them from buying it.
