Yeah, but that's not really true, since Nate isn't dead. There is any number of ways that a post-UC4 story could drag Nate back into that world, like a kidnapping for instance. Don't want to reveal any other spoilers but given what Nate and Elena are doing at the end of UC4 (pre-epilogue) there is plenty of scope for a new adventure if Sony wants to hand it off to a new studio. It would be a mistake IMO, but there is absolutely no reason why Nate's involvement in UC has to be over. |
If anything, i'd say they've actively left the foundation for Nathan's inclusion in the future. Having a sequel which follows both Nathan and his daughter together would follow on originally from how 4 ended, allow for Nathan's inclusion, and set a future up for Cassie.
