Its a big deal for me, since i don't like using Origin or UPLAY on PC due to the fragmented nature, MP and Achievements. I just enjoy that aspect more in a console environment where its more the MP community is more consistent, unified,  and you know what to expect.

For PC i stick mostly to SP games these days where i want to push the eye candy.

I too love the Elite controller and its my favorite to use. Play Anywhere titles are great too, so when the livinroom is being used, i can fire up the desktop and do my thing from where i left off.

PC market isn't that fragmented if you stick to Steam.  I don't buy EA games so I would never download Origin.  Ubisoft has their own store on PC (UPLAY) or is that just to support their online games through Steam?  Sure there are a ton of stores but most PC gamers just stick to Steam.  I don't give a shit about any other store nor is there a need.   Sure I saw some games on humble bundle sale that I believe were on GOG store or whatever it is called.  Some old school games that I was semi interested in but I was like screw it I'm not downloading another store.  Oh and the Windows Store can go fuck itself.

Well thats a big problem with Ubi and EA still putting out high profile  AAA games, and being a large part of the 3rd party market. 

Bethesda, Rockstar and Eidos games i stick to Steam .

I don't mess with GoG either, hate having my stuff all over the place.

I have no issues with the Windows Store, its literally like having an extension of my XBO library available to play at higher quality and i dont pay for MP to play on XBL.
