Well, Star Ocean was released a year ago in Japan. Not exactly "just got."

In any case, it's not unprecedented for cross-gen games to keep trickling in long after a new generation began. The PS2 was still getting games several years after the PS3 came out, a good chunk of which were cross-gen. In fact, one of the last PS2 games was FIFA 14, the only game in history to be released simultaneously across three generations, being on the PS2, PS3, and PS4, among others. But those cross-gen games were a very small portion of the games released in any given year.

3 and 4 years in and it's still getting PS4 games.
