Why does everyone seem to ignore that this happened? Know who blocked it? The REPUBLICAN congress. Really, a lot of progress and reform that Obama was trying to pass was blocked by those morons, now Trump does something which is probably a lot more stupid than it is in any way helpful, and people think that he's at least doing something while Obama stood idle. NOT THE CASE, he was just blocked at every move he tried to make.
The US is not the damn world police. We should be worrying aobut what is happening HERE, and protecting HERE. Syria gassed people and we get involved in that. 100 died (approx.) and that's horrible. But guess what? They have concentration camps in N. Korea, Russia just kills anyone who opposes Putin, there are more messsed up things happening than this. Should we get involved in those too? These are conflicts between the people of these countries that we should have never stepped foot in, yet because of Bush wanting to jump into war everywhere, here we are. Kim Jong Un literally probably kills 100 people before breakfast every day.
US needs to just step back, and fix its own issues, and then MAYBE worry a little bit more about the rest of the world. This strike does not end things, this is going to cause retaliation. Assad is crazy, AND the strike didn't even hit the facility carrying the gas! So it's still intact! He's probably just going to use more of it, he's not going to stop killing. And now his target may become the United States, we should be worried, not ecstatic
