I think it would just upset people, they won't
Quite sure sony neber intended less then 3 years for a new rebranded SKU, if they announce a new console it wont be before the end of next year at the very earliest.
Also a lot of the tricks and nice features are quite nicely done by Microsoft and make great use of DX12 and Windows, which is something Sony won't use.
Either way the PS4 will keep outselling the XboxO regardless, I would not be suprised if the Scorpio becomes more desiarable then the PS4 Pro but lets wait on the price first, the software and feature set is the more impressive part in my opinions, developers will absolutely adore this thing and the cooling and efficient power management is on a new level and matches that of expensive PCś which gives an extra premium feeling
