Isnt the main selling point being able to play in 4K? I know 4K TVs are growing in popularity but i would have to assume that the current adoption rate is still pretty low and needs a few more years to mature. I just feel like by the time 4K TVs become the norm, it will be around the time PS5 & XB4 will be released making Pro/Scorpio sort of pointless.
Im gonna throw a theory out there and i could be off base but a little over a decade ago when PS3/360 released we saw alot of developers struggle with the transition to HD. Could these mid-gen upgrades be sort of a way to make the transition to 4K go a bit smoother for developers?
