I'll be voting for, donating to, and volunteering for Barack. Although, the volunteering will probably be moot since I live in, and am surrounded by, landslide Obama states.
Prepare yourselves, though. This is going to get real ugly real quick. Expect racism and xenophobia(mostly centered on Obama's middle name) sort of like we saw in the primaries only turned up to blaring.
On the McCain side, expect him to be fending off ageism and accusations of mental instability.
American politics FTL.

Don't forget the Obama wants everyone to make the same amount of money no matter how much they work and McCain is identical to George Bush despite the fact that the reason it took him forever to win his nomination against a bunch of losers was because he was generally the EXACT OPPOSITE of bush in about every way.

Not that this election will even matter.  Obama and McCain's platforms are amusingly similar in large ways, and the parts where they are different I don't see it mattering as the situations themselves will dictate what happens. (Iraq, the economy and healthcare as a result of the economy.)

Really i'm stuck between voting for one or the other based on who has the more interesteing thing they could come throguh with.

Right now I'm with McCain for his "I will veto ANY bill with earmarks." as that would be a kickass way to reduce national debt and force policians to go through the right channels to try and spend billions of dollars on worthless projects for their home states... that and getting rid of ethanol subsidaries since ethanol seems wastefull and is helping the world food crisis get out of hand.

To be fair, Obama hasn't had a chance to start talking issues as much though.

Either way, we can look foward to about the same things.  Lots more Stem Cell research funding,rReal attempts at stopping global warming etc...

really the fact that they are so similar might make it more ugly sicne it's almost another primary.  The only differences are on stuff that neither side will be able to deliver on anyway.

Like gay marriage and abortion.  Neither issue is going to go the other way... and furthermore neither group WANTS the issue to go the other way.  In fact i'd say the opposing group would want it to go that way.

I mean, if somehow an anti-abortion judge made itself on the surpreme court and switched Roe V Wade... the republicans would lose a crap load of seats in the congress and senate until something changed it back or vice vesa.

As for Iraq... that's going to likely end up the same either way as well.   Both sides likely can't deliver what they are promising for.  I imagine it'll go the same way, with likely withdrawls starting but not ending till at least the next preisdents second term.  Even if it is Obama.  Military pullouts like that a LONG time if you want to do it saftely.
