More capable hardware means more innovation and evolution in gaming.

And where is that on the PS4 Pro?

Also, if all the Pro games, are and will be compatible with the regular PS4, where is the need for better hardware after all?

Even another question. Take a PC with two GTX 1080 in SLI, and show me a game that takes that power and brings innovation and evolution. Just one.

Should be asking that about this gen, not the slightly better PS4P.

Also there is only one game at the moment that's going with high end hardware on the PC side and that's Star Citizen. Another one for the CPU side would be Ashes of a Singularity, which has insanely huge battles going on.

Also 1080 SLI, how about 1080ti SLI if we're going to go with current hardware?.

Really I think the industry is allowed to produce higher end hardware as there are most definitely people out there who buy into that side of the market. There is virtually no need or right to stop advancing hardware or trying to scale back everything for a select group of people.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
