3rd-6th gen saw slim revisions, 7th gen added bigger HDDs to the mix, now this gen they're attempting to keep up with modern display standards (and with that extra power comes slight performance improvements). There's never been a feasible way to avoid pissing and moaning from fans who feel screwed, but social media and click-hungry 'garmez jurnalists' feed on and amplify such negativity.
Most of the hate comes from fanboys talking shit about the competition; when people devote as much time to being unpaid PR for these corporations as a part time job, the hate can seem overwhelmingly loud.
