I agree that world religion should be taught in schools. It is a critical part of human history and culture. Should be part of any middle school social studies curriculum.
I also agree to the fact that US is not a Christian nation or was it founded on Christianity in any variation. That is ignorant and easily proven through a little study of American history and our founding fathers.
No one should fear their kids learning about another religion. If you feel your belief system is right and you've taught your child as such, then they will likely continue that belief system. If they don't, then so be it, its their relationship to God or lack there of, not yours.
